Job summary

Vistar is seeking a dedicated delivery driver to support America's food distribution system. You will follow a Mon-Fri schedule with dispatch between 3a and 5a, typically a four-day work week with two overnights.

You will deliver customer orders on a predetermined route, unload, verify deliveries, and collect payments where required. Compensation includes competitive pay and benefits such as Day 1 health and wellness, 401K matching, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• CDL-A required and 21+ years of age.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 90 pounds and operate related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs all required safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Reports safety hazards and ensures freight is properly loaded and secured.
• Maintains accurate paperwork and customer invoices for loaded freight.
• Drives to deliver customer orders according to route schedule and unloads at designated areas.
• Obtains customer signatures and handles cash or checks where required.
• Loads returns, secures trailer, and ensures equipment is locked.
• Unloads damaged goods and completes required paperwork at check-in.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs per federal/state/company rules.
• Performs general housekeeping and remaining duties as assigned.
