Job summary

Vistar in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to support nationwide food distribution with intrastate and interstate routes. You may have 1-2 overnights weekly, start times 3-5 am, 4-5 day weeks, and 8-12 hour days, with hotels paid and per diem.

As a driver, you will perform safety checks, load/unload at docks, follow DOT regulations, and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers while delivering products on time and in good condition.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Foodservice distribution industry experience.
• Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet).
• Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e., POD).
• Customer service-related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspect and secure freight, verify paperwork, and load/unload.
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Maintain safety standards throughout the delivery process.
