Vistar is seeking a CDL-A Driver to deliver food and related products across intrastate and interstate routes. The role includes 4-day schedules with weekends off, with a mix of over-the-road, local, and overnight shuttle duties.

You will interact with customers professionally, ensure on-time delivery, and uphold safety and DOT compliance. The position emphasizes face-to-face customer engagement and a critical role in our food distribution system.

Competenze

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• 6 months to 1 year commercial driving experience.
• Foodservice distribution industry experience.
• Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (e.g., PeopleNet).
• Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (e.g., POD).
• Customer service-related work experience.

Mansioni

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and ensure vehicle safety.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer loading and verify freight; complete required paperwork accurately.
• Load/unload freight; secure cargo and perform end-of-shift procedures.
• Maintain daily logs and hours-of-service compliance as required.
• Uphold safety standards and proper handling of freight throughout the delivery process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
