US Foods is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to serve customers in New York City and Long Island. You will safely drive, unload at dock, verify deliveries, and provide professional customer service.

You will earn a base component-based pay with a daily minimum of $320 and may receive retention bonuses of $12,000 or $20,000 for qualifying new hires. On average, you will earn about $115,000 in year one, depending on stops, miles, and cases.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum 6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3-months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.

Responsabilités

• Safe Driving: Deliver products to customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Unloading: 100% touch freight using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand.
• Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & obtain signatures.
• Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.

The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesSafe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight.Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.Physical RequirementsLift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects.
