US Foods is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver to advance your career in the foodservice industry. You will navigate highways and city streets, back into docks, and unload with precision while delivering trust and reliability to our customers.

Expect to work 5–6 days per week, with early dispatch and routes covering Long Island and NYC. This role offers a strong safety culture and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A with DOT qualifications.
• Registered in FMCSA Clearinghouse is required.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.
• Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience (or 3 months in food/beverage delivery).

Responsibilities

• Safe driving: Delivers products to customers on time and safely.
• Unloads products using appropriate equipment or by hand; 100% touch freight.
• Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
• Provide professional customer service to enhance experience.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
• Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

• Our Drivers earn a daily minimum of $320 with our competitive component-based pay! Component pay is based on factors such as stops, miles, and cases. Our Drivers earn an average of $115,000 in year 1!

Schedule & Location

5-6 days a week (including 1 weekend day) | Dispatch between 2:00 AM and 4:30 AM | Long Island and NYC routes

CDL A Delivery Driver - Position Overview

Join us in delivering more than just food; we deliver trust, reliability, and a promise of excellence. You'll safely navigate the highway and city streets, back into tight docks, and unload with precision. The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it's about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.


• Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas - 100% touch freight.


• Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.


• Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.


• Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.


• Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.


• Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.


• Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.


• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.


• Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.

Qualifications

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*


• Must be at least 21 years of age.


• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.


• Minimum 6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3-months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.


• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.


• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
