Job summary

US Foods in Tennessee is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to deliver to customers with a strong safety culture and great service. Expect early morning shifts, four to five days per week, and a competitive hourly rate.

You will safely navigate highways, unload cargo, verify deliveries, and maintain excellent customer relations. Must meet DOT and FMCSA requirements and have prior driving experience in a foodservice context.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid CDL Class A with DOT qualifications.
• Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Must pass FMCSA Clearinghouse registration.

Responsibilities

• Safe driving and timely delivery to customers.
• Unload using appropriate equipment; 100% touch freight.
• Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Support account management and collections when applicable.

The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesSafe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight.Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.Physical RequirementsLift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects.
