Job summary

US Foods is hiring for a dispatch/delivery role across Long Island and Queens. The position offers a 5-6 day schedule with weekend shifts and home daily. A $12,000 hiring bonus applies to eligible new hires, plus a $20,000 retention bonus for those with 2+ years of commercial food delivery experience.

Pay starts at $320 daily plus case pay, with potential to earn about $115k in the first year. CDL class A and FMCSA Clearinghouse registration are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry.
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English, understand highway signs, respond to inquiries, and enter information on reports and records.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times.
• Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain proper signatures.
• Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
• Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience.
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection.
