Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver for local Columbia, SC routes. The role focuses on delivering food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, and other customers, with home time every day.

You'll unload cases up to 100 lbs, use a ramp and two-wheeler, and follow safety procedures. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply and you'll be paid a base daily rate plus mileage, stops, and case-delivery bonuses.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age
• Class A CDL License required
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 lbs
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs during shift
• Must read/write/communicate in English
• Pass drug screen and background check
• Clean driving record per DOT standards
• Must be registered with the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers on local routes

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location : 1101 1st St. S Columbia SC 29209

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule : The position will be a combination of 4 days Monday- Fri and then 5th day would be Saturday, start time between 3:00-3:30am until finished.

Pay: Guaranteed a minimum of $1,100.00 week! Daily base pay, plus component pay Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
