Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver in Columbia, SC. You will deliver food products to a variety of customers, build relationships, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries. You’ll unload loads up to 100 lbs, use a two-wheel cart, and operate safely on local routes with daily home time.

Expect a schedule of 4 days on and 1 day off, with pay structure including base pay and component pay. Benefits start day one, with weekly pay, profit sharing and a 401(k) plan available.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL license.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Physically capable of loading/unloading up to 100 lbs and operating a two-wheel cart.
• Clean driving record; pass DOT background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, and other customers.
• Build relationships with customers during daily deliveries.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs, use ramp and two-wheeler.
• Follow schedule to be home daily and work 4 days on, 1 day off.
• Get paid per mile, per stop, and per case delivered, with weekly pay.

CDL A Delivery Driver Location: 1101 1st St. S Columbia SC 29209

In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you’ll be home every day. You’ll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you’ll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule: The position will be a combination of 4 days Monday- Fri and then 5th day would be Saturday, start time between 3:00-3:30am until finished.

• Pay: Guaranteed a minimum of $1,100.00 week!

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020
