Job summary

Schneider National is seeking a dedicated Class A CDL truck driver for regional dedicated routes. The position features liftgate trailer work hauling food products with hands-on unloading using pallet jacks, and a limited stop schedule designed for predictable home time.

As a Schneider driver, you will operate primarily in IA, KS, MO, NE and SD, with competitive pay, bonus potential, and benefits. Candidates should live within 75 miles of Des Moines, IA, Kansas City, MO, or Omaha, NE.

Qualifications

• CDL required for operating heavy trucks and handling load duties.
• Candidate must reside within 75 miles of Des Moines IA, Kansas City MO or Omaha NE.

Responsibilities

• Haul liftgate trailers carrying food products.
• Perform 100% manual unloading with electric/manual pallet jacks.
• Manage 5 loads per week with 1–6 stop-offs per load.
• Drive routes within IA, KS, MO, NE and SD.

Overview

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• Earn at least $1,000 in weekly guarantee pay during your first 90 days at Schneider.
• Weekly performance pay.
• $7,500 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for inexperienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
• Annual bonus: Earn up to 2% of annual gross pay each year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Live within 75 miles of Des Moines, IA, Kansas City, MO or Omaha, NE.
