Job summary

Schneider National is seeking aDedicated driver to haul freight on liftgate trailers and hand unload with rolltainers. You will regularly perform slow-speed maneuvers and backs, handling 3–4 loads per week across MD, NC, SC, VA and WV, with potential bonuses and strong weekly pay.

Qualifications include a valid Class A CDL and a minimum of 3 months of driving experience, plus living within specified distances of major NC/VA centers.

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• Earn at least $1,000 in weekly guarantee pay during your first90 daysat Schneider.
• Weekly performance pay.
• $7,500 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
• Annual bonus: Earn up to 2% of annual gross pay each year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Live within 60 miles of Charlotte, NC or 85 miles of Greensboro, NC, Richmond, VA, Roanoke, VA, Winchester, VA or 100 miles of Lynchburg, VA, Raleigh, NC or Virginia Beach, VA.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.
