Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL driver to join its Detroit area operations. You will operate a Class A vehicle, complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations while delivering for a diverse customer base.

The position offers paid per move, flat rate/mileage pay, Monday–Friday with potential weekends, home daily, and benefits after 90 days. Both 1st and 2nd shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last year.
• Clean driving record with safe-driving history.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight to and from customer locations.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
• Follow DOT regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Secure and handle freight properly (may include loading/unloading depending on the employer).
• Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs, delivery records, and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
• Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits at all times.
