Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is hiring Class A drivers for dry van freight along the eastern seaboard. The role features a training period with weekly pay, then solo dispatch with starting mileage pay.

Expect about 2,000 miles per week and a guaranteed floor during early months. You’ll be home every two weeks and eligible for a company 401(k), health benefits after 30 days, and paid orientation. Riders and pets are allowed for experienced drivers.

Qualifications

• Age 21+ with a current Class A CDL.
• New drivers: certificate for 120+ hours from an accredited CDL program.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months or 12+ months in the past 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years.
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 to 10 years depending on CDL issue date.
• Pass DOT physical, hair and urine drug testing.

Job description

Month 1: Training

• Weekly Training Pay: Guaranteed every week while you learn
• Trainer: An experienced driver in the cab with you on real freight
• Length: Until your trainer signs off, then you go solo

Months 2 to 4: First Solo Months

• Guaranteed Floor: $1,000 per week for 3 months after first solo dispatch
• Rate: 55 cents a mile to start
• Miles: Around 2,000 per week

After That: Growing Your Check

• Average Weekly Gross: $1,000 to $1,200
• Experience Raises: Plus 1 cent per mile for every additional 12 months of experience, capped at 65 cents
• Stop Pay: $15 per stop
• Performance Bonus: Paid monthly

Schedule and Freight

• Home every 2 weeks
• Dry van freight running the eastern seaboard
• Drop and hook plus live loads and unloads
• Hiring drivers who live within 200 miles of Harrisburg, PA
