Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, founded in 1955, is an asset-based multi-regional trucking company offering less-than-truckload, truckload, dedicated contract carriage, brokerage and international services. Combo Drivers move freight between Service Center locations or perform pickup/delivery to serve customers.

As a full-time driver, you will load/unload freight, plan loads, inspect equipment, and ensure on-time, damage-free delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 21 years or older
• Class A Interstate CDL with hazmat and double/triple endorsements
• One year driving experience required
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
• Satisfactory background check
• Pass ACT road test
• Be able to certify as forklift operator
• Be familiar with handling hazardous materials
• Read, write, speak and understand English

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, independently or with a coworker
• Load freight to and from dock and trailers according to Bills of Lading and labels
• Plan loading to maximize space and minimize damage
• Hook and unhook trailers from tractors and operate landing gear
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition
• Fuel trucks, tractors and other equipment
• Clean, sweep and wash dock, trailers, yard and equipment
• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles
• Perform all other duties as assigned
