Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Dockworker/Combination Driver to load and unload freight, operate a forklift, and deliver freight between service centers and customer sites.

You will work in a fast-paced warehouse and on the road, following DOT regulations and safety standards. The role requires a valid CDL-A with hazmat, double/triple endorsements, and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazmat endorsements.
• 12 months of tractor-trailer driving experience and/or completion of Old Dominion Truck Driver Training program (ODTDT).
• Must be able to read, write, speak English.
• Must be able to operate a handheld computerized device as required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklift, pallet jack or manually.
• Deliver freight between service centers and customer locations.
• Adhere to DOT guidelines and safe loading practices.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor freight locations using Yard Management System.
• Communicate via two-way radio or phone and follow directions promptly.
