Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• One year experience within the last three years or completion of the FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer including doubles and triples and/or straight trucks.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and dollies to/from tractor and/or trailer.
• Handle freight with forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck as needed.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps and rope.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with customers to arrange pickup/delivery and solicit opportunities.
• Support the selling process by providing leads to sales.
• Follow dispatch instructions and report delays or equipment problems.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
