Advocate Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Nurse in Park Ridge, IL. You will perform chart reviews to improve documentation quality and collaborate with physicians and coding staff to ensure accurate DRGs and risk of mortality reflection.

The role requires a BSN, current Illinois RN license, and at least 5 years of clinical experience; CDI or coding knowledge is preferred.

Qualificações

• Registered nurse with BSN and IL license.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Clinical documentation improvement experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform chart reviews to improve clinical documentation quality.
• Communicate with care team to ensure accurate medical records.
• Lead reviews to determine principal diagnoses and risk of mortality.
• Consult coders to assign the correct DRG and provide clarifications.
• Educate physicians and staff on documentation opportunities and coding.
• Document findings in the database and track performance measures.
