Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a strategic Manager of the CDI Center of Excellence (COE) and Quality, Education & Training to lead enterprise CDI quality assurance, education, competency development, and training initiatives.

You will standardize documentation integrity and coding practices across hospitals and physician groups, and drive performance improvement in collaboration with CDI, Coding, Revenue Integrity, HIM, and Quality leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related healthcare field.
• Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in CDI.
• Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with Epic and CDI technology platforms required.
• Experience working with stakeholder engagement and clinical documentation improvement initiatives required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS coding principles.
• Knowledge of MS-DRG and APR-DRG methodologies, along with clinical validation.
• Knowledge of documentation improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of HCC/risk adjustment models.
• Knowledge of quality and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Ability to influence best practices through education and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise CDI quality assurance, education, competency development, and training programs.
• Establish standardized documentation integrity and coding best practices across hospitals, groups, and care settings.
• Partner with CDI, Coding, Revenue Integrity, HIM, Quality, Compliance, Physician Advisors, Medical Staff Leadership, and Operations to improve performance through education, auditing, and improvement.
• Develop and oversee a comprehensive quality and educational framework for CDI quality assurance.
• Serve as the enterprise SME for CDI quality assurance methodologies and education.
