The role emphasizes collaboration with coding leadership and hospital leadership, with responsibility for budgeting, metrics, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• RHIA, CCS, or RN license within 6 months (in-state or eligible).
• Bachelors in Nursing or Health Information Administration required.
• 3+ years Healthcare Management experience; 3+ years inpatient coding/clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CDI team: hiring, training, performance evaluations.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy standards across CDI workflows.
• Assist Director with CDI department budgeting.
• Collect, analyze, present CDI data and provider performance metrics.
• Develop and execute CDI process improvement projects.
• Collaborate with HIM physicians, medical staff, vendors, and coding leadership.
• Oversee education for staff on CDI topics and DRG guidelines.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure compliant CDI workflows.
• Report CDI metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
