Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist to review health records, clarify diagnoses, and ensure accurate coding for compliant reimbursement. You’ll collaborate with physicians, coding staff and CDI technology to produce quality documentation and optimize patient care outcomes.

The role requires healthcare coding experience, knowledge of DRG, and proficiency with CDI tools and guidelines. Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package with salary range disclosed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, relevant experience accepted as substitute.
• RN/MD or equivalent credentials with active license preferred.
• 2+ years acute care inpatient coding or CDI experience.
• Familiarity with DRG assignment and official coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct concurrent medical record reviews to clarify diagnoses and procedures.
• Prepare compliant physician queries per ACDIS/AHIMA guidelines.
• Assign working MS-DRG and update DRG as documentation evolves.
• Collaborate with coding team to ensure accurate reimbursement and compliance.
• Enter data into CDI applications and track query outcomes.
