Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Georgia is seeking an Auditor-CDI Nurse Educator to advance clinical documentation and patient severity accuracy. You will lead education for CDI staff, perform audits, and support provider education to improve coding quality and data reporting using 3M-360 tools.

Responsibilities include on-boarding new staff, monitoring productivity, and collaborating with CDI, HIM, and safety teams to address documentation opportunities and ensure compliance with Medicare

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in State of GA.
• Certification required - Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS).
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Five to ten years clinical nursing experience; three to five years in clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day educational support for clinical documentation program priorities.
• Function in the capacity of Clinical Documentation Specialist when not involved in educational activities.
• Reviews CDS productivity reports and meets quarterly with each CDS team member; manages reconciliation and audits.
• Manage process flow and oversee onboarding and ongoing physician education.
• Coordinate and work with other CDI staff, CDI Associate, Admin Support and Manager.
• Partner with HIM leadership to develop education for coding guidelines.
• Monitor documentation against core measure quality indicators and address opportunities with staff.
• Collaborate with patient safety and coding to maintain code accuracy.
