Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. is seeking a Child Development Associate (CDA) Specialist for CIFC's Danbury Early Learning Programs. The role supports 1-2 classrooms, assisting in planning routines, curriculum, meals, and activities for children aged 6 months to 5 years within Head Start/Preschool settings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Entry level position in childcare.
• Childcare experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required (email, word processing).
• Bilingual candidates encouraged; English plus Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA certificate or plan to obtain within 1 year (employer-paid) required.
• Early Childhood Education credits or degrees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist 1-2 classrooms in planning and implementing routines, curriculum, meals, and related activities for pre-school and/or infant/toddler children.
• Serve as the aid in a classroom of 14-20 Head Start/Preschool children and/or 7-8 Infant/Toddler children.
• Work under 1-2 Lead Teacher(s) and be supervised by the Education Services Professional.
