Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) to provide compassionate, expert care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You will collaborate with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapists, and fellow nurses to coordinate care.

Min requirements include a nursing degree and Virginia RN licensure with AHA BLS. Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:2, with 1:1 for the most critically ill, and a rotating or all-night

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia; AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for critically ill cardiac patients.
• Monitor, assess, and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Care for patients requiring advanced therapies and technologies, including Impella devices, intra-aortic balloon pumps, LVADs, ventilator support, and CRRT.
