Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia invites an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at UVA Health in Charlottesville. You will provide expert care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, collaborating with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapists, and fellow nurses.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN required; RN licensure in Virginia.
• Experience: 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
• Licensure: Virginia RN license; AHA BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for critically ill cardiac patients.
• Monitor, assess, and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Care for patients requiring advanced therapies and technologies (Impella, IABP, LVADs, ventilator support, CRRT).
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapists, and nurses to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and evidence-based clinical practice.
• Participate in a culture that prioritizes outstanding patient care and teamwork.
