Job summary

Mercy Health, Springfield Regional Medical Center, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Coronary Care Unit. The role requires strong organizational and leadership abilities to assess patient status, determine priorities, and implement critical care plans.

You will collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, evidence-based patient care. Ideal candidates hold an RN license, with 1 year of RN experience and CCU or acute care exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• ACLS/PALS certifications preferred; ACLS required within 6 months; PALS preferred at hire or required in lieu of BLS/ACLS for Pediatric Units.
• 1 year of RN experience required; 6 months RN experience in Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conducts and analyzes initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Synthesizes and prioritizes information to take immediate, evidence-based actions.
• Anticipates changes in patient conditions and responds appropriately.
• Administer medications safely per policy.
