Baptist Health in Corbin, KY is seeking a CCU/PCU Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead nursing practice on the Progressive Care Unit during the third shift. This full-time role emphasizes patient safety, education, and clinical leadership in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The coordinator develops orientation, competency, and continuing education programs, maintains regulatory compliance, and mentors staff while supporting quality initiatives and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; Kentucky RN license.
• Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience; leadership preferred.
• Critical care, ICU, or step-down ICU experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and other required certifications per department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develops orientation, competency, continuing education for nursing staff.
• Assesses educational needs and facilitates learning with evidence-based methods.

The Clinical Coordinator functions as a clinical pathway, population-based clinician responsible for promotingpatient safety and high-quality patient care through clinical leadership, education,consultationand modeling. The clinical coordinator incorporates evidence-based practice, theory, and research into various patient care settings according to patient needs by collaborating with multi-professional groups;facilitatingthe developmentof hospital and department policies, nursing procedures, regulatorystandardsand guidelines; and conducting research. The role also includes functioning as a community resource on topics withinscopeof practice andproviding nursing orientation, education, and ongoing competency verification. The clinical coordinator is a rolemodel for caring that honors the patient’s mind, body, and spirit.

Description:

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Nursingrequired; current Kentucky RN licenserequired.

• Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience required; leadership and advanced clinical experience preferred. Critical care, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or step-down ICU clinical experience is strongly preferred.

• Current or obtained within established departmentaltimeframes: BLS, ACLS, Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia, NIH Stroke Certification, 12-Lead ECG Training, Glucometer Training, Aegis/DY Training, and Nurse Wound Care Training.
