Job summary

MTA Bridges and Tunnels seeks a Senior Manager, Central Control Unit (CCU) to lead centralized timekeeping, time and leave administration, and payroll reconciliation for about 1,000 employees. The role ensures accurate application of bargaining agreements and internal controls while guiding system improvements.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the position drives data analytics, reporting, and workforce planning, and supervises CCU staff with a focus on continuous process improvement and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible payroll, timekeeping, or workforce management experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ managerial or supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar HRIS system.
• Advanced knowledge of Kronos or similar timekeeping system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead centralized timekeeping, leave administration, payroll reconciliation for ~1,000 employees.
• Ensure accurate application of collective bargaining agreements and policies.
• Oversee payroll processing, controls, and audit trails across systems.
