Job summary

Flagler County Sheriff's Office seeks a CCTV Operator to monitor and control entry/exit doors and gates, and to maintain security over all CCTV, radio, intercom and telephone communications within the inmate facility.

You will prioritize movements, verify staff badges, maintain daily activity logs, and coordinate with security teams during disturbances or emergencies. A high school diploma and 1 year in radio/telecom/corrections are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma recognized by the State of Florida.
• One (1) year experience in radio, telecommunications and/or corrections or jail environment experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Surveillance and security control of all doors and gates for the inmate facility through monitoring, radio, intercom and telephone communications.
• Operates Central Control panels and manages entry authorization by visual identification of staff and visitors.
• Maintains and monitors all video surveillance monitors and security intercoms.
• Initiates and coordinates security responses during disturbances, emergencies, or unusual situations.
• Maintains a daily activity log to record movement and activity as specified in General Orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
