Job summary

AC&T in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a hands-on Low Voltage Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial low-voltage systems. You will work with CCTV cameras, access control, cabling, and networked security devices to deliver reliable security solutions.

The role requires practical installation and diagnostic skills, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality. Valid driver’s license and physical fitness are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in low-voltage installation and service is a plus.
• Knowledge of CCTV cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and IP security systems.
• Basic networking concepts incl. IP addressing and switches.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and maintain CCTV/security camera systems.
• Troubleshoot, repairs, and service existing low-voltage systems.
• Install and terminate low-voltage cabling.
• Configure and troubleshoot network-connected security devices and NVR/DVR systems.
• Install access control, intercom, alarm, and related electronic security systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Ensure installations comply with company standards, local codes, and safety regulations.
• Document work performed, service reports, and customer communications.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in a professional manner.
