Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a New Graduate RN for its CCSD Unit in Beckley, WV. You will enter a structured 12-month Nurse Residency, with hands-on clinical practice, culture transition, and leadership development.

You will be supported by a dedicated preceptor and work in a fast-paced setting, gaining experience in cardiac, telemetry, and post-procedural care while delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• RN Licensure to practice as a registered nurse.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments and initiates appropriate interventions.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Manages time and prioritizes patient care in a fast-paced environment.

More About Our Team The CCSD Unit at Raleigh General Hospital provides specialized intermediate-level care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing support following critical illness, cardiac events, surgical procedures, or complex medical conditions. This fast-paced unit bridges the gap between intensive care and medical-surgical services, caring for patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and other high-acuity diagnoses. Nurses on the unit are skilled in cardiac monitoring, post-procedural care, telemetry interpretation, medication management, and patient/family education.
