Job summary

WVU Health System in West Virginia is seeking an infectious disease physician to provide inpatient and outpatient care at affiliated facilities. The role features a 4-day clinic schedule rotated biweekly and a 7 on/7 off inpatient schedule, with APP support available to enhance patient care.

The position emphasizes antimicrobial stewardship, HAC/HIMS collaboration, and care coordination across campuses in Parkersburg and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Areas of expertise include health care epidemiology, musculoskeletal infections, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B & C, antimicrobial stewardship, transplant ID, OPAT and COpAT.

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities will include a mix of ID inpatient and outpatient care.
• Participate in Antimicrobial Stewardship programs and OPAT/COpAT services.
• Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
