Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking an Amplify Adjunct Faculty member located in Greenfield, IN to teach MEAS 225 on an as-needed basis for each semester. You will deliver courses, develop syllabi and assessments, and maintain student records under College policies and FERPA guidelines.

The role emphasizes engaging teaching strategies, appropriate use of classroom technology, and collaboration with colleagues to support student success across the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Possesses an earned associate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Has a minimum of 2 years of direct work experience as a medical assistant or as an RN or LPN in an ambulatory care setting.
• Current professional certification in the field (CMA, CCMA, or RMA).
• Completed academic preparation appropriate to the course being taught.

Responsibilities

• Create a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals and provide effective instruction and assessment.
• Deliver assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Develop/maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
• Maintain accurate student records and grades in line with FERPA and College policies.
• Engage with students and colleagues professionally, and implement active teaching strategies.

Job description

This position is located in Greenfield, IN/Amplify Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as‑needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided. Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives. Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods. Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements. Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College, shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular). Interacts with students and co‑workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies with College policies, campus guidelines and expectations. Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments.

MEAS 225 Course Standard

• Possesses an earned associate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution, and Has a minimum of 2-years of direct work experience as a medical assistant or as an RN or LPN in an ambulatory care setting where they performed administrative, clinical and laboratory duties as outlined in the COR of MEAS 225, and Possesses both of the following: Current professional certification in the field (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) Completed academic preparation appropriate to the course being taught.

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
