Job summary

MGT is seeking an experienced Operational Readiness Manager to support a major rail modernization program in New York City. You will lead the organizational and operational transformation from traditional signaling to CBTC, guiding people, processes, and governance for a successful transition.

The role emphasizes transformation leadership, CBTC knowledge, and collaboration across Signals, Maintenance, IT, Safety, and Capital Programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Transportation Management, Engineering, or related field.
Extensive transit operations and maintenance experience in large urban rail systems.
Strong CBTC understanding and impact on operations/maintenance.
Experience leading operational readiness, transformation, or major change initiatives.
Ability to coordinate across large, multi-layered organizations.
Excellent executive-level communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead CBTC operational readiness and transformation plan.
Define organizational changes to support centralized CBTC operations.
Assess current operations and identify gaps in workforce, processes, and resources.
Develop strategies and implementation plans to address readiness gaps.
Lead execution of the transformation plan and monitor milestones and readiness.
Establish new operating workflows, processes, governance, and training.
