Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a CBTC & Next Gen Engineering Director in Pittsburgh to lead strategic systems integration and signaling initiatives across North America. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams through concept to revenue service, advancing rail modernization and technology adoption.

The role drives safety, verification, and operational readiness while shaping business development and client engagement for large-scale transit projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in rail transit, signaling, train control, systems engineering, or transportation infrastructure.
• 10+ years of experience supporting CBTC, advanced train control, or systems integration programs.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex project delivery efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities for CBTC, Next Gen Train Control, PTC, ATO, ATS, moving block systems, and digital interlockings.
• Establish technical direction and governance for major transit/rail modernization programs.
• Oversee systems architecture, requirements management, interface management, and lifecycle systems engineering.
