Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Wisconsin seeks a PRN counselor to deliver cognitive behavioral therapy and related services to patients, under clinical leadership, including group sessions and treatment planning.

The role involves supervision, ongoing progress review, accurate documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team; training and family education are also included.

Qualifications

• CBT experience (12 months preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Valid Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential if required.
• Residential program driver’s license preferred when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide cognitive behavioral and other therapeutic services including groups, to patients, according to clinical standards of care and under supervision.
• Participate in supervision sessions and communicate progress and adjustments to care plans.
• Regularly monitor the effectiveness of interventions and adjust as needed in consultation with the Clinical leader.
• Document mental health services in medical records with timely and accurate completion.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and assist in development of the treatment plan.
• Communicate treatment interventions and support needs to interdisciplinary team members and support systems.
• Offer training support to other direct care team members on CBT interventions.
• Provide parent or support person training on CBT and behavior management strategies.
• Ensure patient safety and facility safety.
• Support staffing/scheduling changes when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
