Job summary

GDIT is seeking an Operational Readiness Specialist Mid to support Fort Belvoir, VA. The role focuses on conducting vulnerability assessments of critical DoD assets, developing emergency planning and COOP materials, and advising on risk mitigation across the supply chain and protection programs.

Requirements include a BA/BS, 5+ years of experience, EM risk management knowledge, and CBRNE experience. Travel and TS/SCI requirements apply; hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Must have CBRNE related work experience.
• Excellent analytic and communication (oral and written) skills; valid Passport and ability to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains disaster and emergency planning and management plans, policies, and procedures, and provides advice and recommendations on all aspects of emergency planning.
• Work as part of a high-performing, multidisciplinary team that conducts vulnerability assessments of critical Department of Defense assets world-wide.
• Conducts assessments of continuity of operations programs (COOP), supporting materials and services (supply chain), emergency management (EM) plans; CBRNE preparedness and survivability; and force health protection to protect personnel, assets, and missions.
• Possesses experience in COOP (business continuity, operations planning) and knowledge of Emergency Management and CBRNE plans and programs, including incident response and consequence management, mass warning and notification, and support agreements.
• Has capacity to become knowledgeable in supply chain and force health protection program areas and fluent in related policies and directives.
