Job summary

SummitET is seeking a full-time DHS CBRN/WMD Detection Operations SME-New Jersey to support the MDDU nationwide. The role involves maintaining CBRN detection equipment, conducting operations, training, and exercises for federal, state, and local partners from Fort Dix, NJ.

Travel 50-75% of the month across the contiguous United States and US territories is required; a SECRET clearance is mandatory. Salary ranges from $89,000 to $98,000 per year, with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in chemical, biological, radiological and/or nuclear (CBRN) detection with emphasis on R/N detection.
• 5+ years' experience in radiation detection training and supporting detection operations at special events or during steady state operations.
• Knowledgeable using representative detection equipment (PRD, RIIDs, mobile systems).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level national security clearance and DHS Suitability.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and drive a 45' trailer.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL within six months.

Responsibilities

• Track and maintain care, custody, and control of MDDU equipment and radioactive sources.
• Conduct inventories of DHS MDDU property and update tracking information.
• Ensure equipment is repaired, calibrated, and ready for deployment 24/7.
• Perform CBRN detection operations with federal, state, and local agencies.
• Prepare after-action and status reports for leadership and client.
