As a core direct-care provider, an RA- Resident Assistant- CBRF certified delivers compassionate, high-quality care while upholding resident dignity and independence:
Dignified ADL Support & Personal Care:
Provide comprehensive, hands‑on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)—including showering, tub baths, dressing, personal grooming, oral care, and incontinence management.
Assist residents with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning, using proper body mechanics and adaptive equipment while respecting resident autonomy.
Assist with meal distribution, dining room setup, and monitoring resident nutritional and fluid intake.
CBRF Medication Assistance & Vital Signs:
Assist residents with routine medication reminders, setup, and administration strictly according to physician orders, CBRF state regulations, and facility protocols.
Measure, record, and track vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature) as scheduled or directed by the supervising nurse.
Clinical Observation & Change of Condition Reporting:
Diligently observe and monitor residents for physical, behavioral, emotional, or cognitive changes, such as skin breakdown, changes in mobility, acute confusion, or appetite loss.
Serve as a vital link in the clinical care chain by promptly reporting all health observations directly to the Charge Nurse or Assisted Living Director.
Engagement, Life Enrichment & Wellness:
Actively foster resident social interaction by encouraging, escorting, and assisting residents to scheduled daily activities, group exercise, physical therapy sessions, and community events.
Build meaningful personal relationships with residents, providing emotional support, companionship, and dynamic social engagement.
Environmental Excellence & Sanitation:
Maintain clean, safe, hygienic, and organized living spaces for residents, performing routine light housekeeping, bed making, room tidying, and linen management.
Follow all facility safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and emergency response procedures to maintain a secure environment.
Digital Documentation & EHR Management:
Ensure all care services, medication assistance records, behavior logs, and resident updates are recorded accurately and promptly in the facility’s electronic health documentation system prior to shift handoff.
Compliance Advocacy & Regulatory Standards:
Strictly adhere to all local, state (DHS 83 CBRF), and federal regulations, as well as resident rights, HIPAA privacy guidelines, and facility operational policies to maintain regulatory excellence.
Certification: Must be an RA- Resident Assistant- CBRF certified in good standing in the state of Wisconsin, holding valid certifications in Medication Administration, Fire Safety, First Aid & Choking, and Standard Precautions.
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Professional Competencies: Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while serving as a proactive, reliable team player.
Tech Savvy: Basic computer literacy required for electronic care charting, shift logs, and internal communication platforms.
Experience: Previous experience as an RA- Resident Assistant- CBRF certified in a long-term care, memory care, or assisted living facility is strongly preferred; however, heart-led individuals ready to learn and grow are warmly welcomed to apply!
