Job Description

The College of Innovation and Design (CID/CBE) Onboarding & Admissions Specialist provides comprehensive, student-centered support from initial inquiry through first-term enrollment. The position assists prospective students with inquiries, evaluates and processes applications, makes admissions decisions in accordance with East Texas A&M University and CID/CBE policies and procedures, and guides admitted students through program selection, Orientation, and enrollment.

The Specialist serves as a subject matter resource for prospective and newly admitted students, providing individualized guidance and proactive follow-up throughout the onboarding process. The position analyzes transcripts, TSI information, and other admissions documentation; determines applicant eligibility and admission status based on established criteria; interprets university and CID/CBE requirements; connects students with appropriate university resources; and assists students in successfully enrolling in their first term.

This position requires a high level of customer service and attention to detail due to the extensive, wraparound support provided to CID students.

This position is a full-time, remote (online) position. Occasional travel to the East Texas A&M University main campus and/or the Dallas site may be required. The university will not reimburse mileage or travel time for required meetings. This position is partially grant funded through the next three years. Continued employment will be contingent on renewal of funding.
