Job summary

V2X is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support T-45 aircraft, restore Ready For Flight status, and follow Navy, manufacturer, and company instructions. You will use test equipment and Ground Support Equipment and document actions on maintenance forms.

The candidate should have 3 years of recent aircraft repair experience or complete the T-45 OJT program, with strong safety and English-language skills; willingness to work varied shifts and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Three years of recent experience repairing aircraft systems, components, and accessories, or completion of the T45 OJT Program.
• Familiarity with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics, and safety requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD CAC; willingness for shifts and travel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned aircraft per Navy, manufacturer, and company directives.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned aircraft in accordance with Navy, Manufacturer, and Company instructions.
• Use provided test equipment and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to perform assigned tasks.
• Read, interpret, and apply instructions from blueprints, schematics, and other approved technical data.
• Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required.
• Document work accomplished on Maintenance Action Forms (MAF)/OOMA.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work center and assigned work area.
• Adhere to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.
• Adhere to the Company Tool Control Program.
• Comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.
• Ensure proper operation and use of special test equipment and Ground Support Equipment.
• Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.
• May be required to perform simple computer input functions.
• May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
• Perform corrosion control cleaning and removal as required, utilizing appropriate safety precautions.
• Assist, when directed, to ensure the safety, security, and preservation of Government-owned and Company-owned equipment.
• Perform other reasonably related incidental duties when directed, within the job classification.
• Perform all maintenance on T-45 aircraft in long term storage and restore the aircraft to a Ready For Flight status
• Annotate maintenance actions on aircraft forms and Visual Information Display Systems (VIDS), in addition to MAF/OOMA.
• Perform corrosion inspections, in addition to corrosion control cleaning/removal.
• Must be willing and able to stand rotating shifts.

Qualification Standards

Must have Three (3) years of experience within the last six (6) years performing repair and replacement of aircraft systems, components, and accessories, as well as aircraft flight control and hydraulic systems, or satisfactory completion of the T45 OJT Program.

• Must possess mechanical aptitude.
• Must be familiar with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics, and normal safety requirements.
• Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing or qualification requirements for the position.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) CAC (Commons Access Card)
• Must be able to work weekends, other shifts, and overtime as required.
• Must be able to travel as required.
• Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company proprietary data.
• Completed high school diploma or equivalent required.
• The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.
• Must have a Valid State Driver's License

Physical Effort

Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking, lying down, and working in tiring, uncomfortable positions. May require lifting objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. May require the ability to work within confined spaces for extended periods of time.

Special vision abilities required for this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Duct Diver — ability to perform services lying down within confined spaces (17"H x 13"W) # (may be required)

Work Environment

Work conditions may range from environments with little or no physical discomfort to environments where inclement weather may subject individuals to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.
