The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with at least two years of inventory control experience, familiarity with ERP and inventory software, and strong Excel/Word skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel and MS Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update inventory records per procedures.
• Identify and report discrepancies between stock counts and records.
• Improve inventory management processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare settlements and audit cattle checks for accuracy.
• Set up new vendor accounts and maintain vendor records.
• Analyze cattle costing, track commissions, apply freight costs.
• Process freight bills with timely charges.
• Coordinate with cattle vendors and buyers to ensure smooth operations.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Daily Responsibilities

• Maintain and update inventory records in accordance with company procedures.
• Identify and report discrepancies between physical stock counts and computer records.
• Develop and improve inventory management processes for increased accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare settlements and audit cattle checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Set up new vendor accounts and maintain accurate vendor records.
• Analyze cattle costing, track commissions, and apply freight costs to cattle transactions.
• Organize and process freight bills, ensuring accurate and timely application of charges.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with cattle vendors and buyers to ensure smooth operations.
• Other job tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager

Pay range is $20.00 to $25.00 an hour depending on experience

QualificationsQualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate degree or certification in accounting is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, preferably in a related industry.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems and inventory management software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other productivity software.
• Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Effective organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be available to work both opening and closing shifts on a rotating schedule.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with cattle or meat industry operations is a plus.
• Experience with database and spreadsheet software.
• Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills.
• Must be okay with working around cattle and cattle smells

HOURS: Rotating shifts (Opening: 6:15 am – 3:30 pm, Closing: 11:30 am – 8:00 pm).

WORKDAYS: Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed.
