Job summary

Aptera Motors Corp in Carlsbad, CA seeks a CAD Engineer to design and document 3D models and 2D drawings of automotive electrical components from concept to mass production. Experience with CATIA V6 (3D Experience) is required, along with a background in manufacturing and a technical degree.

You will create CAD modules and assemblies, support prototypes in an ISO 8 cleanroom, and help streamline solar panel and wiring harness fabrication with engineers and R&D.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with soldering and handheld tools.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to stay organized and precise with handheld work.
• Willing to learn new solar testing techniques and equipment.
• Knowledge of Solar technologies is a plus.
• Experience with composites, electronics manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture prototype and production solar panels with soldering and finishing.
• Work in an ISO 8 cleanroom environment.
• Run automated soldering and panel lamination equipment.
• Manufacture wiring harnesses and connector assemblies.
• Collaborate with Engineers and R&D to improve processes.
