Job summary

Actalent is seeking 2 Catia Data Engineers to support a plant in Ohio. The role involves managing 2D/3D CAD data in CATIA V5, reviewing BIW welding fixture data, and ensuring accuracy before release.

You will validate digital data on the shop floor and track releases using SmartSheet and PLM systems. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing data management, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills to coordinate with multiple vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in mechanical data management in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong BIW welding fixture design experience with CATIA V5.
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and track large volumes of engineering data.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain 2D and 3D CAD data in CATIA V5, including drawings, BOMs and spare parts lists.
• Review and process Body-in-White welding fixture design data from multiple vendors.
• Validate accuracy of digital data against floor tools and on-site measurements.
• Validate 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs and spare parts docs before release.
• Integrate approved data into designated CAD systems, PLM repositories and storage locations.
• Track design releases, revisions and deliverables using project management tools.
• Guide, train and assign jobs to team members.
