Job summary

Honda is seeking a professional with 4–5 years of experience in CATIA V5 and engineering data management to support management, validation, and release of mechanical design data within a manufacturing engineering environment.

The role involves managing 2D/3D CAD data in CATIA V5, reviewing BIW welding fixture design data from multiple vendors, validating data before release, and integrating approved data into CAD systems, PLM repositories, and network storage.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of CATIA V5 and engineering data management experience.
• Experience with BIW welding fixture design and detailing.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 – 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, BOMs, and spare parts lists.
• Knowledge of manufacturing layouts and tooling integration.
• Delmia experience is an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain 2D and 3D CAD data in CATIA V5, including drawings, BOMs, and spare parts lists.
• Review and process BIW welding fixture design data from multiple vendors.
• Validate 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and spare parts documentation prior to release.
• Integrate approved data into CAD systems, PLM repositories, and client network storage locations.
• Track design releases, revisions, and engineering deliverables using SmartSheet and other tools.
• Manage and organize large volumes of engineering data and documentation.
