Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a skilled professional to support the management, validation, and release of mechanical design data in a manufacturing engineering setting.

The role focuses on BIW welding fixture data, CATIA V5 modeling, and handling large volumes of engineering documents, with emphasis on accuracy, documentation, and cross-functional communication within a client network.

Qualifications

• 4 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design data management in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Experience reviewing drawings, BOMs, and spare parts lists for BIW.
• Strong ability to organize, track, and release large volumes of engineering data.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing layouts and tooling integration; DELMIA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain 2D and 3D CAD data in CATIA V5 and support documentation.
• Review and process BIW welding fixture design data from multiple vendors.
• Validate 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs and spare parts documentation prior to release.
• Integrate approved data into CAD systems, PLM repositories, and client network storage.
• Track design releases, revisions, and deliverables using SmartSheet and other PM tools.

Job description

Looking for a highly motivated professional with 4 to 5 years of experience to support the management, validation, and release of mechanical design data within a manufacturing engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain 2D and 3D CAD data in CATIA V5, along with supporting engineering documentation, including drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and spare parts lists.
• Review and process Body-in-White (BIW) welding fixture design data received from multiple vendors.
• Validate 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and spare parts documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to release.
• Integrate approved data into designated CAD systems, PLM repositories, and storage locations within the client network.
• Track design releases, revisions, and engineering deliverables using SmartSheet and other project management tools.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience in BIW welding fixture design and detailing.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Experience reviewing engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and spare parts lists.
• Ability to manage, organize, and track large volumes of engineering data.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing layouts and tooling integration.
• Experience with DELMIA would be an added advantage.
