Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a CATIA Data Management Engineer to support the management, validation, and release of mechanical design data in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will leverage CATIA V5 and BIW welding fixture design experience, maintain BOMs and drawings, and drive PLM/data management processes while coordinating with vendors and manufacturing engineers to ensure accurate, released data.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in engineering data management or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong experience with BIW welding fixture design and detailing.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 – 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, BOMs, and spare parts lists.
• Strong understanding of CAD data management, revisions, and engineering releases.
• Knowledge of manufacturing layouts and tooling integration.
• Ability to manage and organize large volumes of engineering data.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Experience with SmartSheet or similar project tracking tools is preferred.
• DELMIA experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review and process BIW welding fixture design data received from vendors.

• Integrate approved design data into CAD systems, PLM repositories, and client storage systems.
