Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks a Teacher to fulfill the mission of Catholic schooling by guiding, inspiring, and educating students in a Christ-centered environment. The Teacher reports to the Principal and implements policies related to the school and archdiocese.

Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, maintaining confidentiality, ensuring student safety, communicating with parents, using technology to enhance learning, and supporting extracurricular activities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12 credit hours in education courses or a valid state certificate.
• Technology proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and internet use.
• Demonstrated competency in the subject area.
• Pass archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements and background screening.
• Pass Texas DPS fingerprint-based screening.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill curriculum requirements.
• Plan and use instructional strategies reflecting diverse learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to guidelines set by authorities.
• Plan and supervise assignments of teacher aides and volunteers.
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
• Establish open communication with parents and staff.
• Maintain classroom environment and manage student behavior.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in committees.
