Job summary

Music Ministry International invites a Catholic CRE Coordinator to join as a part-time 1099 contractor. You will coordinate the Seymour Johnson Chapel RE program, develop annual calendars, and manage weekly CRE activities with oversight from the Catholic Chaplain.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as a catechist in a Chapel or church setting with an endorsement letter from parish leader.
• Certification in the Archdiocese of the Military Services Catechist or completion within 90 days of contract award.

Responsibilities

• Develop and submit an annual calendar of RE events by 1 July each year.
• Provide weekly CRE program updates to the Catholic Chaplain/priest detailing volunteers, attendance, speakers, and supplies.
• Store CRE schedules, volunteer lists, and speaker materials securely per privacy requirements.
• Submit fund requests five business days before payment, using APF or CTOF forms as appropriate.
• Prepare Chapel Tithes and Offerings budget before 1 May for the upcoming year.
• Maintain a consolidated list of volunteers for all RE events.
• Develop and supervise weekly CRE programs and recruit/train volunteers.
• Coordinate teaching schedules and locations with speakers and catechists two weeks before class.
• Schedule backup personnel for speakers and volunteers.
• Coordinate room setup and supply needs for CRE events, and supervise volunteers.
• Ensure all speakers are approved by the Catholic priest and coordinate base/facility access.
• Arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled RE activities.
