Job summary

Music Ministry International seeks a part-time Roman Catholic Religious Education (RE) Coordinator for the Eglin AFB Chapel community. The role coordinates K–12 RE and sacramental preparation, alignment with AMS/USCCB guidance, and RCIA directives.

The position requires a solid background in theology, teaching experience, and AMS Catechist Certification or commitment to obtain it within 30 days. Expect ~20 hours per week, weekend programming, and coordination with a diverse staff.

Qualifications

• Attitude and disposition for self-directed coordination of RE and Formation Program.
• Education and experience evidenced in theology/religious studies; proof of religious education.
• Minimum two years as RE Coordinator and/or 5 years teaching in RC program.
• AMS Catechist Certification or plan to begin within 30 days of contract award.
• Demonstrates ability to work unsupervised in dynamic environment with staff, parents and youth.
• Must submit to background check and complete Protecting God's Children training (VIRTUS).

Responsibilities

• Perform a minimum of 20 hours per week for administrative duties, counseling and staff meetings.
• Direct weekend RC program, including recruitment and training of volunteers.
• Support ecumenical programs such as Chapel and CAMP with coordination and planning.
