Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a corrosion technician to apply corrosion knowledge to repair, install, troubleshoot, analyze, and perform predictive and preventive maintenance on equipment, facilities, systems and devices in gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The role emphasizes design, installation and maintenance of cathodic protection systems, regulatory compliance, data collection and reporting, and working safely in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Level A/B/C experience ranges with 0–2, 2–4, or 4+ years depending on level.
• Must maintain valid driver’s license and ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, operate, inspect and maintain cathodic protection systems.
• Perform corrosion control and compliance for pipelines and facilities.
• Conduct pipe-to-soil potential surveys and readings.
• Prepare reports on rectifiers, bonds, isolation and corrosion control.
• Read maps and PLDs; interpret as-builts and drawings.
• Adhere to safety policies and use PPE.
